Electrician

Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full-time Electrician to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

Position Details:

Compensation: $43.23 / per hour

Primary Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, install, test, and repair electrical and mechanical components and equipment for multi-line production.

Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep accurate maintenance records.

Optimize equipment safety and efficiency through participation in continuous improvement projects and completion of work orders according to PM schedules.

Evaluate causes of failures and breakdowns and suggest preventive or corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Promptly report equipment failures and breakdowns to lead hands.

Adhere to all GMPs and HACCP guidelines and work within all company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation.

Accurately complete all related departmental paperwork and documentation.

Follow all company food safety programs including GMP's to produce the highest quality product for our customers.

Days hours to be confirmed upon hire.

Requirements:

Certified Electrician with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.

WHMIS 2015 certification within the last 3 years.

Demonstrated PLC programming knowledge with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Good mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a strong asset.

Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends and overtime as required.

Working Conditions:

Conditions can be greasy with regular exposure to fumes. Position may require varying start times and extended working hours with occasional weekends. Flexible shifts are a must and overtime is required.
