Blackline Civil is an Alberta-based heavy civil contractor specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, industrial site development, and municipal infrastructure. We partner with developers, engineers, and municipalities to deliver high-quality projects across Western Canada.

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Civil Estimator to join our growing Edmonton-area team. This is an opportunity to step into a key role where your expertise directly impacts project success and company growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
Develop accurate pricing for labour, equipment, and materials
Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations
Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to support successful bids

Qualifications:

5+ years of civil estimating experience (senior-level candidates preferred)
Proven experience in underground utilities, earthworks, and land development
Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing
Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
