THRIVE Social Services is a community-based organization supporting children, youth, adults, and families across Greater Victoria, BC. Through programs focused on mental health, family support, youth development, and community connection, THRIVE works alongside people to build skills, strengthen relationships, and support long-term well-being.
With a dedicated team of approximately 80 employees, including four Directors and eight Managers, THRIVE is known for its collaborative, strengths-based approach and deep community connections. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of THRIVE. The Executive Director will lead an experienced team of four Directors and eight Managers while working closely with the Board to ensure strong governance, strategic alignment, and organizational sustainability.
THRIVE is entering an important period of growth and development. Building on a strong foundation of mission-driven service, a committed Board, and a dedicated staff team, the organization is focused on strengthening its long-term sustainability, expanding its impact, and enhancing organizational capacity.
The Executive Director will be skilled in building high-performing teams, managing organizational growth, and supporting staff through effective leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development. Working closely with the senior leadership team, the Executive Director will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
The Executive Director will also lead the development and implementation of strategies that support THRIVE's long-term growth, strengthen operational effectiveness, diversify revenue opportunities, and further position the organization as a trusted and impactful community partner.
