Pocketpills is Canada's leading telehealth and online pharmacy platform. We are rebuilding how Canadians get their medication by pairing genuinely personalized care with technology we build ourselves. Pharmacists, technologists and care specialists work side by side here, and the result is care that reaches people wherever they are.
Through our app and website, members can fill prescriptions, order refills on their own schedule, get support from our pharmacists and connect with licensed practitioners at partner clinics. With more than 2.5 million prescriptions filled and over 1 million registered users, we are a fast-growing Canadian health-tech company, and we're only getting started.
Our values are simple and we live by them: People First. Celebrate the Why! Be Accountable. Act with Honesty and Integrity. Think Big, Start Small, Move Fast.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Pharmacy Manager to serve as the Designated Manager for our Ontario pharmacy.
This is a true leadership role. You will oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, develop and maintain the SOPs our team works by, act as our primary contact with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and resolve escalated patient concerns. You will also work closely with the teams building our technology, so you'll help shape the tools you and your team use every day.
If you want your clinical judgement and operational experience to help shape how Canadians access pharmacy care, this is that role.
What You'll Do
What You Bring (Must-Haves)
-
12+ years of experience practising as a pharmacist. Internationally trained pharmacists must have a minimum of 5 years of Canadian pharmacy experience.
-
3–4 years in a pharmacy management role, directly leading a team of 8 to 10 pharmacy professionals.
-
Exceptional communication. You write and speak with clarity, stay calm under pressure and can explain a complex clinical issue to a patient, a technician or a regulator with equal ease.
-
Demonstrated SOP writing ability. You have authored practice documentation that people actually used, not documents that sat in a folder.
-
Tech-savvy and forward-thinking. You adopt new systems quickly, troubleshoot without losing momentum, and want a hand in shaping the digital healthcare future of Canada.
Schedule & Location
-
Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
-
Location: On-site at our pharmacy in Mississauga, Ontario. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
-
Schedule: Shifts between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm ET, Monday to Sunday. Weekend shifts are part of the regular rotation.
-
Flexibility: As the pharmacy’s leader, you’ll be expected to adjust your schedule from time to time to meet operational needs, such as inspections, staffing gaps or peak periods.
-
Travel: Travel to our head office in British Columbia at least twice a year.
Compensation & Benefits
-
Annual Salary:$135,000 - $140,000, based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and alignment to the market.
-
Employee Stock Options:Opportunity to earn employee stock options, so you own a piece of what you help build. Grants are subject to board approval and the terms of our stock option plan.
-
Extended Benefits:Comprehensive extended health benefits coverage.
-
Vacation:3 weeks of paid vacation.
-
The upside:A leadership seat at one of Canada's fastest-growing health-tech companies, and real influence over how a million-plus Canadians receive their care.
