Typical Responsibilities

Depending on the employer, responsibilities may include:

• Design and develop mechanical components, products, and systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, models, and documentation.
• Support product development from concept through production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to improve product performance and manufacturability.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Participate in prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
• Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
