Role overview

Summary:

ICT builds, maintains, and inspects cooling towers in industrial environments across Alberta and throughout Canada. We are currently seeking dependable Construction Labourers to join our team for a short-term, high-intensity project in Medicine Hat.

We are hiring 20 Construction Labourers (10 Day Shift, 10 Night Shift) for a demanding, schedule-driven construction project. This role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to commit to extended hours over a short duration.

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (up to 4 weeks)

Location: Medicine Hat, Alberta

Start Date: August 24

Compensation: $24.73 – $35.39 per hour (based on experience), Overtime paid at 1.5x regular rate, Night shift premium: $4.50/hour

Shift Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 6 days per week (72 hours/week)
  • Day and night shifts available

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Actively comply with all safety policies, procedures, and site requirements
  • Clean and prepare work sites, removing debris and hazards
  • Load, unload, and move materials and construction waste
  • Assist tradespeople with manual tasks and general site support
  • Operate hand and power tools safely
  • Maintain site organization and housekeeping standards
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow direction from supervisors
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements & Screening

  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be available to work full project duration (4 weeks, 6 days/week)
  • CSA-approved steel-toe lace-up boots required (other PPE provided)

Qualifications (Assets)

  • Previous industrial construction experience
  • Valid safety certifications (training can be provided):
  • CSTS
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry

Valid Class 5 driver’s license considered an asset
