About the Laboratory:A well-established, full-service dental laboratory is seeking an experienced Full Gold / Crown & Bridge Technician to join its growing Calgary team.The laboratory is committed to precision, quality, innovation, and continuous professional development. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in traditional crown and bridge craftsmanship and has experience working with full-cast gold and implant-supported restorations.
About the Role:The Full Gold / Crown & Bridge Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality full-cast gold restorations and supporting a variety of crown, bridge, and implant cases.
The ideal candidate has strong waxing and metal-finishing skills, a solid understanding of dental anatomy and occlusion, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with other technicians and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate full-cast gold crowns, bridges, and related restorations.
  • Wax full-contour crowns and bridges with proper anatomy, margins, contacts, and occlusion.
  • Finish, fit, contour, and polish gold and other metal restorations.
  • Work on implant-supported crown and bridge cases.
  • Seat and fit restorations accurately on dies, models, and implant components.
  • Evaluate margins, contacts, occlusion, and overall case quality.
  • Read and interpret dental prescriptions, models, and case instructions.
  • Make adjustments and corrections to ensure restorations meet clinical specifications.
  • Inspect completed restorations and maintain established quality-control standards.
  • Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to support efficient case flow and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
  • Document production information and quality checks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of dental laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong experience fabricating and finishing full-cast gold restorations.
  • Crown and bridge waxing experience.
  • Experience working with implant-supported restorations and implant components.
  • Strong understanding of dental anatomy, margins, contacts, and occlusion.
  • Ability to interpret dental prescriptions, models, and technical instructions.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce consistent, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with additional crown and bridge materials or workflows is an asset.
