Career Opportunity

Brimell Toyota is currently seeking an Accounting Administrator to join our growing team. Under the supervision of the Financial Controller, the Accounting Administrator's duties include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic information to general inquiries relating to our business operations, using common sense and discretion in divulging company information.
  • Balance daily bank deposits, ensuring that all funds owing from the previous day are properly accounted for. Identify, report and follow up on all discrepancies for the day.
  • Daily update of all Parts, Service and Body Shop invoices, tracking pending ones and taking follow up action to ensure that all moneys are accounted for.
  • Issue and post all receipts to the appropriate ledger accounts including cash, cheques, Visa/Mastercard credit cards and debit cards.
  • Gather reports from Infostream, internet or faxes and post all direct deposits credited daily to our bank accounts, including amounts from TCI, TFS and all Banks.
  • Track required floor plan payouts to Primus and pay as necessary on Credit Web, usually every other day.
  • Mail out invoices to accounts receivable customers, including (not exclusive) ECP, TCI, insurance companies, ensuring that appropriate documents are included.
  • Review accounting schedules such as reserves, licensing. Take follow up action if necessary, and prepare adjusting journal entries.
  • Process credit applications, PST exemption certificates and maintain file for audit purposes.
  • Follow up on account receivables, including mailing of monthly statements, handling customer account inquiries, making follow up phone calls and sending reminder letters to ensure that overdue accounts are kept to a minimum.

Qualifications:

  • OSSD
  • Minimum of 1 years related work experience (e.g. AP/AR Clerk, etc.…)
  • Dealership experience an asset, but not necessary
  • Highly organized & efficient time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
