transitional housing options on-site and, in the community, health and
well-being support, training and skill development, and ongoing care once youth
move into the community.
For over 40 years, Covenant House has been dedicated to its mission of
serving youth on the street and to protect and safeguard all youth with
absolute respect and unconditional love. Since 1982, Covenant House has
supported more than 100,000 young people.
Overview:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for direct implementation of Covenant House's philosophy, mission statement and policies as they pertain to residential care
We are currently recruiting for 2 Full Time, Permanent Overnight Shift Supervisor. This is a replacement role
This role is a awake overnight position working from 10:30pm to 8:30am
Job Responsibilities:
management of the daily shift and the direct supervision of approximately 5 FT and 8 PT staff.
training of new team members.
contents and any emergency situations within the entire building.
of our youth are properly managed by staff.
employees, evaluating them on observation shifts and participating in the
selection process.
Covenant House’s policies and procedures.
team’s work concerning intakes, assessments and discharges.
are appropriately addressed.

Qualification, Experience:
diploma in child and youth work or equivalent.
a shelter or residential setting.
supervisory role
developmental theory and specific issues related to street youth.

intervene differentially with youth in crisis.
communication skills.
