Role overview

We are seeking a senior lawyer who practices in corporate law, commercial law, and/or real estate law. The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience practicing law in BC. We are looking for someone specifically with their own practice and book of clients. We are open to absorbing an existing employee into the lawyer who would join (to the extent applicable). Our objective is to provide a turnkey solution for lawyers who want to spend more time practicing law versus dealing with administrative burdens.

The Associate Counsel role operates on a management fee basis, allowing the lawyer to run their own independent practice while benefiting from our firm's resources and offerings, which include:

Ongoing mentorship and support from our lawyers (to the extent required)
Access to legal support staff (inclusive of real estate and corporate paralegals)
A well-equipped office workstation with an adjustable chair
Direct line, telephone, fax, internet access, and Wi-Fi
Remote access to files and email upon request
Use of photocopier, scanner, and printer
Supply of general office stationery and supplies
Access to the boardroom, kitchen, and other building amenities
Website profile and business cards
Provision of a new computer with multiple monitors and ongoing IT support paid for by the firm
Access to accounts for BC Online, LTSA, Unity Accounting, eConvey, and other software platforms
Marketing budget (amount may vary based on projected billings)
Firm presence and infrastructure to support your practice

Compensation:

$250,000 - $300,000 yearly

Qualifications:

Member of the Law Society of British Columbia for a minimum of seven (7) years
Be proficient with the MS Office suite of products

About Company

Logica Law is a modern law office located on the Yaletown side of False Creek. The right candidate will be providing some services to Logica Law, but mostly services that are personal in nature to the firm's two principals.
