CFAA Fire Alarm Technician

My client is seeking an experienced CFAA Certified Fire Alarm Technician to join their growing Calgary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused technician who enjoys troubleshooting, servicing, and commissioning commercial fire alarm systems while building a long-term career with a respected industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial fire alarm systems.
• Perform system start-ups, programming, commissioning, and final testing.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls.
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate project updates.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring all work meets safety and industry standards.
• Mentor junior technicians when required.

Qualifications

• CFAA Fire Alarm Technician Certification is essential.
• Minimum 2 years' commercial fire alarm experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with installation, commissioning, start-up, and servicing of fire alarm systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with Edwards systems and EST-3/EST-4 certifications are considered strong assets.
• Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field is an asset.
