Corporate Legal Assistant

Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the legal team with a variety of administrative and client-focused tasks. Responsibilities will include:

Conducting corporate searches and filings
Assisting with client billing and file management
Managing client intake, including conflict searches and drafting engagement letters and routine correspondence
Supporting practice management initiatives, including monthly billing and adherence to firm best practices
Coordinating administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and client meetings
Responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, managing follow-ups, and keeping lawyers informed of client interactions
Maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring accurate handling of all internal and external communications

Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate considered an asset

Compensation

$50,000 – $65,000 per year, depending on experience
