Kelly Services is currently recruiting for Seasonal Seed Technicians on behalf of a leading agricultural client in Lethbridge, Alberta. These full-time seasonal positions run from mid-August through April and offer $23.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities available during peak production periods.

Position Details

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Location: Lethbridge, AB
Seasonal Contract: Mid-August 2026 through April 2027
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Primary Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Overtime: Available during peak production periods
Shift Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work alternate shifts and overtime as operational needs require
Work Environment: Approximately 95% indoor production facility and 5% outdoor work

About the Role

As a Seasonal Seed Technician, you will play an important role in the safe and efficient processing of seed products. Working as part of a collaborative team, responsibilities may include seed cleaning, seed treating, packaging, quality control, warehouse support, and general production activities.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor seed processing equipment
Support seed cleaning, treatment, and packaging operations
Inspect product quality and maintain seed purity standards
Monitor production lines and identify packaging defects
Perform routine equipment inspections
Assist with material handling activities
Support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (where qualified)
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Reliable transportation to and from work
Availability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime and shift flexibility as required
Ability to lift up to 30 kg (66 lbs.)
Ability to work at heights
Ability to wear a dust mask and other required PPE
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficient English language skills
Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in agriculture, manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general labour roles
Forklift experience or certification
Shipping, receiving, or inventory control experience
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
Strong problem-solving abilities
Additional safety certifications considered an asset

Physical Requirements

Lift and move materials weighing up to 66 lbs. (30 kg)
Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
Work in a fast-paced production environment
Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity
