Rate: Up to $185k p/y

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, including 5 years of hands-on Python development.
  • Demonstrated experience personally building, shipping, and owning production software.
  • Strong software architecture and system-design skills, including the ability to decompose complex or ambiguous problems into practical solutions.
  • Ability to independently design and build software from scratch with minimal technical oversight.
  • Daily, proficient use of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Practical understanding of agentic AI building blocks, including context, memory, guardrails, tool calling / MCP, skills, and orchestration.
  • Strong judgment when assessing AI-generated code and identifying correctness, dependency, and security issues.
  • Strong Git proficiency.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to write precise technical specifications.
  • Current residency in Quebec. Remote work is available within the province.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering production agentic systems or AI-powered applications end to end.
  • Contributions to MCP servers or tools, evaluation frameworks, or agent-orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI.
  • Experience evaluating model and agent performance.
  • Familiarity with GitLab and GitLab CI.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
