Job Description:This position reports to he Manager for direction in day-to-day duties. The Exercise/Conditioning Therapist - Degree is responsible for the development, modification, and delivery of individual and group community-based exercise programming for patients with cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, metabolic disease, and other disease specific exercise programming. The Exercise/ Conditioning Therapist - Degree will need to deliver fall prevention education and exercise, facilitate and support hospital discharges. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

  • Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Experience implementing exercise programs for cardiovascular disease an asset
  • Experience implementing exercise programs for pulomnary disease an asset
  • Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist by ACSM
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Certified Exercise Physiologist from CSEP is an asset
  • Clinical Exercise Physiologist by ACSM is an asset
  • Experience implementing exercise programs for metabolic disease an asset
