Selector (DC) - Full Time

Description

We are looking for Selectors - Full Time who are passionate about food and enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment!

Position: Selector (Multiple Vacancies /Full Time)

Work Location: 8800 Huntington Road

*Reliable transportation required (no public transit available to site)

Hours of Work: 3PM - 11PM

Availability to work 5 days per week including weekends

Starting Wage: $21/hour

Wage incentives and premiums offered based on shift and role!

What you’ll do:

Order Picking

• Efficiently pick store orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is picked.
• Maintain 95%+ picking performance standards.
• Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery trailers with material handling equipment.
• Accurately tag individual store pallets with correct store number

Quality

• Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Report quality variances to Supervisor upon discovery.
• Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required.

Safety, Housekeeping, Security

• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
• Comply with Health and Safety Standards.
• Comply with Food Safety Standards.

What we are looking for:

• Completion of secondary school
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• 3+ months of Ryder Walkie experience
• Ability to read and count accurately
• Ability to lift up to 50lb, cases
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
• Attention to detail
• Team player
• Food safety knowledge
• Good Communication skills

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a standard DC environment with exposure to various temperature, including ambient, chilled (33F), Freezer with -18F temp.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities with regular deadlines
• Travel to various Warehouse locations required
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including - evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require
