Job Summary:

The Solutions Designer role involves designing, developing, and supporting complex Salesforce-based technology solutions tailored to healthcare industry requirements. The position requires hands-on configuration, integration, and implementation of Salesforce and related platforms while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and organizational policies. The role demands collaboration with stakeholders, documentation of technical designs, and support for testing and deployment activities within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:

Design hosting technology solutions based on client specifications, standards, and best practices.
Plan, implement, and support complex CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.
Configure and integrate Salesforce with other applications using web services and other mechanisms.
Document processes, technical designs, and maintain build books.
Ensure accessibility standards (AODA) compliance in all solutions.
Develop and implement web applications compatible with modern browsers and mobile devices.
Conduct research and assessment for technical design issues and contribute to project plans.
Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing including defect management.
Ensure adherence to architecture frameworks, system standards, and Agile development methodologies.
Lead knowledge transfer and maintain system design models, technical documentation, and specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
Support integration and continuous delivery processes within Salesforce projects.

Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, maintaining, and configuring Salesforce solutions.
Salesforce certifications including Platform Developer I, OmniStudio Developer, Experience Cloud Consultant, and Administrator.
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC), Dynamic Forms, and Vlocity platform capabilities (FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, OmniScripts, Calculation Matrices).
Experience integrating Salesforce with internal applications and web services.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies including epics, user stories, and story points.
Experience implementing AODA compliant solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills.
Experience supporting user acceptance testing, defect management, and deployment activities.
Ability to document technical designs and develop training and communication materials.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) in Salesforce projects.

Desired Skills:

Experience working in the healthcare industry with knowledge of Long-Term Care, EMRs, HISs, Clinical Assessment tools, and Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS).
Understanding of personal health information protection legislation applicable to healthcare systems.
Knowledge of MuleSoft integration platform.
Experience conducting fit/gap analysis and diagnostics for incident management.
Experience with security settings, governor limits, and platform limitations in Salesforce.
