Job Description:Provides direct client care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The General Duty Nurse is responsible and accountable for the provision of safe client care services and programs. Job description is available upon request. Responsible for overseeing Tisdale Hospital COP's / ambulatory program, including administering chemotherapy medications, working closely with provincial cancer agency to coordinate treatments and follow up care.

Experience

Two (2) years clinical experience

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

Nursing diploma is acceptable
Proficient in veni puncture and CVAD care.
Chemotherapy training an asset

Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to work independently
Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Other Information

Tisdale is located approximately 40 km east of Melfort
Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
