Role overview

Our client is a well-established Canadian construction company with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial, institutional, industrial, and design-build projects. They are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager working out of their Mississauga Office, who enjoys taking ownership of large-scale projects from preconstruction through completion and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring project objectives for safety, quality, schedule, and budget are achieved.
Provide overall project leadership and work collaboratively with field teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful project delivery.
Manage project financials, including budgets, cost control, forecasting, cash flow, and the change order process.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, procurement plans, risk management strategies, and project execution plans.
Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the construction process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience with a General Contractor managing mid-to-large-scale commercial/ICI construction projects, ideally $30M+ in value.
Demonstrated experience successfully managing large, complex construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, procurement, scheduling, risk management, and subcontractor coordination.
Proven ability to lead project teams and effectively manage multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, collaborative approach.
Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, or other complex ICI projects is preferred.
Procore experience is considered an asset.
