Law Clerk - Accident Benefits

Job Summary:

Plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Toronto (North York) is seeking an Accident Benefits Clerk. The role will focus primarily on accident benefits claims, with some exposure to tort claims. Experience with accident benefits, disability claims, or personal injury matters is an asset.

Responsibilities:

· Schedule client meetings, telephone conferences, and court-related appointments for lawyers, including mediations and examinations for discovery.

· Diarize deadlines and set reminders for lawyers regarding filing of legal documents, hearings, and client meetings.

· Prepare responses to undertakings and obtain/provide undertakings as directed by the lawyer.

· Request accident benefits documentation and medical-legal reports on behalf of clients.

· Provide any other relevant assistance to the lawyer as required in relation to accident benefits claims.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Previous experience in accident benefits or personal injury law is preferred.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
