PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (Permanent, Full-time)

NATURE OF THE POSITION: Hiring one (1) Procurement Specialist (Permanent, Full-time) position. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for research, development and implementation of procurement processes including sourcing, tendering and contracting, to support operational needs. In addition, this position provides training, information and advice to staff and volunteers to support understanding and compliance with Regional District purchasing policies and procedures. This role ensures that procurement and tendering activities are conducted in a transparent, efficient, and cost-effective manner, in compliance with organizational policies, trade agreements and applicable legislation.

The work of the Procurement Specialist is performed under the directionof the Manager of Financial Services.

START DATE: August 2026

RATE OF PAY: 53.28 per hour (January 1, 2026 rate)

DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: As set out in the job description.

BENEFITS: In accordance with the Collective Agreement with C.U.P.E Local 1699. This is a union position.
