Role overview

A well-established manufacturer and distributor of industrial and consumer products is seeking an experienced full-time Sales Representative to support business growth throughout British Columbia. The company serves a diverse customer base across industrial, retail, promotional products, and consumer markets, offering a broad portfolio of safety apparel, footwear, workwear, protective equipment, and related products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in business development and account management within the personal protective equipment (PPE) industry, or a related industry such workwear and safety products sector. We are specifically searching for manufacturer rep experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop, and expand existing customer relationships throughout British Columbia.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with industrial distributors, retail partners, promotional product suppliers, and other relevant customers.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop product and marketing programs that support business growth and maximize product adoption.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with distribution partners and engage end users to promote product specification and adoption.
  • Travel throughout British Columbia, including occasional overnight travel, to support customer relationships and business development initiatives.
  • Generate interest with end users, in conjunction with distribution partners.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturer sales of PPE, safety equipment, workwear, or related industries is required.
  • Established relationships with distributors, retailers, or promotional product channels within British Columbia are considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of safety apparel, protective gloves, industrial footwear, or related product categories.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing sales territories and achieving revenue targets.
  • Professional, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and customer database systems.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, consisting of a base salary plus commission and performance-based incentives. The expected base salary range is approximately $80,000–$100,000 annually, with the opportunity to earn significantly more through incentive programs.
