Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate for a 3-month contract role on our warehouse team. This role involves operating a counterbalance forklift, managing warehouse organization and inventory, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse distribution and forklift operation, along with mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move materials within the warehouse
  • Break down and build skids, ensuring product is properly organized and secured for putaway or shipment including strapping and wrapping pallets and courier shipments
  • Remove labels, packaging materials, and other markings from incoming parts as required
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and update records
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or fragile items
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety standards
  • Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order processing

Requirements

  • Valid, up to date counterbalance forklift license required
  • Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an asset
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) as needed
  • Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment
  • Prior experience in warehouse environment is mandatory
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards

This is a 3-month contract role, essential for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and delivering excellent service to our customers. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to teamwork.
