Must Haves:

Description
- A Junior Business Analyst is required to support access to eReferral, utilizing the Agency's pre-existing onboarding methodology. Validation of Health Information Custodian (HIC) and legal status via the Client Information Form will provide the path forward for identification. This resource will be required to categorize and map clinician end users to the Agency's pre-approved HIC types and validate the legally responsible person for pre-approval prior to migration to digital health services.
Responsibilities:
- Interacts with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, document, and analyze onboarding requirements related to clinician access, HIC validation, legal structure, and pre-approval needs for eReferral and related digital health services.
- Supports business analysis activities including requirements gathering, mapping, business rules definition, documentation, issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Contributes to business process mapping and analysis to support onboarding decisions and improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Understanding of PHIPA principles, including consent, collection, use, disclosure, and safeguards of personal health information; knowledge of the roles of health information custodians and agents under PHIPA; and understanding of the Ontario health care sector and access to the EHR/digital health services in Ontario.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of information management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Experience with business analysis methods and tools such as business process mapping, business functional modelling, stakeholder engagement, and documentation development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.

Deliverables
- Categorize and map clinician end users to the Agency's pre-approved HIC types and validate the legally responsible person for pre-approval prior to migration to digital health services.

Additional Terms
- The term of this Engagement Assignment is for 250 Business Days, with an option to extend for up to an additional 250 days at the Agency's discretion. The Engagement Assignment may be extended for unused Business Days at the Agency's discretion.
- The resource will comply with the Agency's policies and procedures.
- The Agency systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario, and Agency assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario, without prior written approval from the Agency.
- Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Hybrid". The resource under this request will be required to work onsite as per Hiring Manager sole discretion.
- Candidate will be issued an Agency laptop and is expected to provide at their own expense at least one additional monitor and a mouse. In addition, when the candidate is working from their home location, they must have a private office space and are not permitted to work in an open communal space. Internet connection must be hard-wired and suitable bandwidth to support the IT requirements of this role. If these conditions cannot be met within their home office space, the candidate will transition to full time in office, and the hybrid option will no longer be available.
