Join Our Team as a Building Caretaker!

We are seeking a dependable and professional Building Caretaker to join our team at a 94 unit residential building located in Langley. In this dynamic role, you will provide a combination of caretaker, janitorial, maintenance, and administrative services while responding promptly to client needs and ensuring the smooth operation of daily building activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Site Maintenance:Manage and supervise the site. Monitor and maintain the garbage and recycling rooms. Coordinate and supervise annual and seasonal building services and inspections.

Access & Security: Program enter-phone, fobs, and issue keys. Install/take down elevator pads for move-ins/outs.

Administrative Duties:Collect funds as directed, post notices, send emails, and submit a weekly report.

Property Manager Relations:Maintain consistent communication with the property manager to ensure the building is secure, well-maintained, and operating smoothly. Meet tradespeople and instruct on specific requests and provide feedback to PM.

Tenant Relations & Management: Respond promptly to tenant questions and requests. Report any concerning issues with tenants or residents to the property manager.

Exterior Grounds: Pick up litter around the entire exterior areas of the building, including sidewalks, courtyards, and driveway ramps.

Floor Care: Sweep and damp mop hard surface floors using a neutral cleaner.

Entrance / Lobby / Common Areas: Clean door frames, disinfect door handles, polish entry code panels, and vacuum walk-off mats.

Requirements

Strong administrative skills
Flexibility, availability, and the ability to address requests promptly
Janitorial experience is an asset
Proven experience in janitorial, caretaker, or related fields
Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:Monday Friday

Shift Timing:9am-3:30pm

Start Date: ASAP

Salary:$20

Preferred Experience:Hybrid Caretaker/Janitorial: 1 year
