Cashier

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will help create an exceptional shopping experience by providing knowledgeable customer service, maintaining an organized and well-stocked sales floor, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service, and works well both independently and as part of a team.

**MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SUNDAYS**

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences and answer questions about beer, wine, spirits, and other store products.
Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately while balancing the till.
Verify valid government-issued identification and ensure all alcohol sales comply with provincial laws and company policies.
Restock shelves, coolers, and displays while rotating stock and maintaining attractive product presentations.
Receive, organize, and put away deliveries.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor, storage areas, and checkout counters.
Monitor product availability on UBER, DOORDASH and SKIPTHEDISHES tablets.
Assist with wine displays and price changes.
Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient store operations and excellent customer service.
Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures, and responsible liquor retailing practices.

What We’re Looking For

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working weekends, and holidays as required.
Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain before starting employment).
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Must live near or on the North Shore (North Van/West Van)
