Description
The Team
The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre is a designated mental health facility within the Ministry of Children and Family Development, offering services in Coquitlam, Prince George, and Vernon, along with outreach support across the province. Our multidisciplinary team includes Child and Youth Care Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurses, Indigenous Child Care Counsellors, and Recreation staff, who bring a wide range of skills and lived experiences. Together, we work with respect, shared responsibility, and cultural humility to support the mental health and well-being of young people and their families.
The Role
The Nurse is a key member of an interdisciplinary team providing specialized mental health treatment and support to youth. This role delivers direct clinical services, including health and mental health assessments, treatment planning, medication management, safety planning, case coordination, and health education. Working collaboratively with youth, families, caregivers, health professionals, and community partners, the Nurse supports integrated, culturally informed care across residential, school, community, and Satellite settings. Through clinical expertise, advocacy, and coordination of services, this position helps young people achieve their treatment goals, safely navigate the healthcare system, and successfully transition to community-based supports. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth while contributing to innovative and recovery-oriented mental health services.
