Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and results-driven Retail Supervisor to lead daily store operations and support the success of our retail team. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers exceptional customer service, and drives operational excellence. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $63,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Serve as the Customer Service Quarterback, ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.
Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct for all staff.
Lead by example and proactively engage with customers throughout the store.
Ensure customer needs are met at the sales desk, tills, and over the phone.
Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring positive outcomes and lasting customer satisfaction.
Promote a customer-first culture across the store.

People Management

Lead, coach, and support retail team members to achieve operational and sales goals.
Manage employee schedules, hours, attendance, performance, and conduct.
Hold staff accountable for meeting expectations and company standards.
Recruit, orient, train, and develop new employees.
Foster employee engagement and a positive team culture.
Ensure all health, safety, and security policies and procedures are followed.

Retail Operations

Oversee all aspects of daily retail operations.
Manage all store cash functions, including balancing and cash handling procedures.
Make sound business decisions that support productivity and profitability.
Ensure productive operations are maintained throughout all business hours.

Merchandising & Inventory

Ensure merchandise is displayed neatly, stocked appropriately, and priced accurately.
Manage product pricing throughout its lifecycle, including seasonal adjustments and promotions.
Oversee receiving, overstock management, cycle counts, and front-end retail operations.
Serve as the inventory and in-stock lead for the store.
Monitor inventory accuracy and availability to meet customer demand.

Skills and Qualifications

Broad knowledge of building materials and related products.
1+ year of retail, supervisory, customer service, or administrative experience.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Proven ability to motivate, train, and coach team members.
Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Results-driven with a competitive spirit and strong sense of urgency.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High energy level with the ability to lead by example on the sales floor.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
Experience with merchandising, inventory management, and cash handling is an asset.
Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn.
Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and inventory counts as required.
