Role overview
Our client, a well-established and highly respected leader in the HVAC and mechanical systems industry, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their growing team.
This customer-facing role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, developers, architects, and owners while driving sales growth across a diverse portfolio of commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the engineering and construction community.
- Support product selection, equipment design, quotations, tenders, and project execution.
- Manage projects throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial specification through warranty completion.
- Conduct presentations, technical training sessions, and customer visits to promote products and solutions.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver comprehensive project solutions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales within the HVAC or mechanical equipment industry is preferred.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or Engineering Technology diploma is an asset.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical building systems.
- Experience interpreting construction drawings, project specifications, and equipment schedules is an asset.
- Exceptional communication, relationship management, and project coordination skills, with a customer-focused approach.
