Early Childhood Educator (ECE / IT / SN / ECEA)

Khalsa Childcare Centre is seeking passionate, caring, and dedicated educators to join our growing team. If you are committed to providing high-quality early learning in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Currently we are looking for ECE’s, IT’s for our different locations.

Base Hourly Wage

Early Childhood Educator (ECE): $20.50/hour

Infant Toddler Educator (IT)/Special Needs Educator (SN): $22.50/hour

ECE Assistant (ECEA): $18.50/hour

Plus an experience premium of up to $2.00/hour, based on experience.

BC Government ECE Wage Enhancement (ECEWE)

Eligible ECE-certified educators receive the BC Government Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement (ECEWE) of up to $6.00/hour, in addition to their base wage.

What You’ll Do

Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational programs.

Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Maintain BC Child Care Licensing standards and health & safety requirements.

Document children’s learning and communicate with families using our childcare app.

Qualifications

Valid BC ECE, Infant Toddler (IT), Special Needs (SN), or ECE Assistant certification.

Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate.

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Fluency in English is a strong asset.

Experience working in a licensed childcare setting is an asset.

Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate

Two work-related references

Immunization records (as required)

Copy of valid BC ECE, IT, SN or ECEA certification

Shortlisted candidates must successfully complete an English language assessment as part of the hiring process.
