Position Overview:

Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's leader in Permanent Recruitment, has partnered with our client in the search for a Controller. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will oversee financial management, ensure efficient financial processes, strategic planning, and contribute to achieving the company’s growth goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and be hands on to all aspects of accounting such as AP, AR, in an efficient and effective manner

Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, and set strategic objectives

Oversee completion of all daily accounting tasks and regulatory reporting, including government remittance

Collaborate with both internal team members and external accountants to compile year-end working papers and review engagement schedules.

Internal financial statement preparation along with preparation of other financial reports following generally accepted accounting principles

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of policies, processes, and procedures to identify areas for improvement
Responsible for project cost tracking, margin analysis, and operational cost reporting to support decision-making.

Requirements:

A Canadian professional Accounting Designation CPA (CA, CGA, CMA)

Proficient in technology, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.

Demonstrated strong leadership abilities and ability to communicate with executive leadership

Manufacturing experience with a strong background in costing and project billing in a large scale environment.

Ability to be hands on, work autonomously while being strategic to support leadership mandates.

This in an in-office opportunity and requires to be onsite 5 days a week.

Rewards:

Base salary $110K - $125K
