AZ/DZ Driver

We are looking for an AZ/DZ driver with experience to join our team in the Van Bree Infrastructure Division, working out of our Warwick location and surrounding areas, preparing, securing and eventual delivery of equipment and/or materials to various sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all company policy and procedures
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Compliance with all traffic laws and MTO regulations and requirements.
• Regularly communicate with dispatch and the office
• Daily truck maintenance including end-of-day refueling, greasing, and washing as required including pre/post trip inspections

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Valid AZ/DZ driver's license with a clean driving record, and CVOR must be submitted with resume

Knowledge and Experience

• Must be 25 years of age or older with a minimum of 3 years’ AZ/DZ driving experience (insurance requirement).
• Familiarity with London, Sarnia, Goderich, Warwick township, and surrounding area
• Knowledge of aggregates and construction industry an asset
• Ability to safely load and unload materials using appropriate equipment
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient and timely delivery
• Attention to detail to maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Knowledge of truck weights, road limitations, and some mechanical aptitude
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience using a GPS
• Ability to speak, and write in English as well as basic math skills
• French not required
