BlueStone Properties Inc. has been an award-winning industry leader in property management, construction, and development for three generations. We are growing and currently seeking a full-time Live In Building Manager for our 1600 Hyde Park location.
SUMMARY
The Live In Building Manager oversees the daily residential operations at a newly developed mixed-use building with 134 units. The role also manages a full-time Live In Assistant Building Manager. Responsibilities include resident relations, maintaining the physical condition of the building, communicating with residents, completing administrative tasks, and supporting the leasing process as needed. The Building Manager works Monday to Friday and is required to be on call within the rotation at this location. The Building Manager is supported by our dedicated and experienced in-house maintenance and landscape teams while the commercial team manages the small commercial portfolio within the building.

DUTIES
- Lead, manage, and hold onsite team accountable
- Support resident relations by responding to inquiries and concerns, maintaining respectful communication, documenting significant interactions, and fostering a welcoming community atmosphere
- Monitor and maintain building operations by completing regular inspections of the property, common areas, building systems, and security measures
- Complete administrative and resident support tasks including rent collection, posting notices, assisting with move-ins and move-outs, and maintaining access systems
- Complete minor in suite repairs and general maintenance
- Enter work orders in software, track progress, and escalate major repairs/maintenance
- Work collaboratively with the residential maintenance team with respect to major repairs and unit turnovers
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas and units including waste removal, snow/ice removal, and amenity space checks
- Provide leasing support when needed by assisting with suite tours, staying informed on availability and promotions, supporting prospect communication and helping ensure a smooth transition from the leasing team.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 years of experience in residential building management
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Experience with general residential maintenance and minor repairs
- Proficient with computer (MS Office) and smartphone, experience with Yardi an asset
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Must successfully pass a police background check
- Courteous manners with the public and excellent customer service
- Punctual and reliable
