INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – INDUSTRIAL SALES

Our client is a well-established North American distributor serving industrial, construction and specialty contractor markets.

They are looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join their Calgary team and take ownership of an established portfolio of house accounts.

This is not simply an order-entry role. You'll build customer relationships, identify opportunities, prepare quotes, recommend solutions and actively grow both existing and new business.

What You'll Do

Manage and grow an established portfolio of B2B house accounts
Build strong relationships through regular customer contact and follow-up
Make proactive outbound calls to existing and prospective customers
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
Prepare quotes, follow up and close sales opportunities
Upsell and cross-sell across a broad technical product offering
Prospect for new customers and identify new opportunities
Manage orders, open orders and backorders through to completion
Maintain customer activity, opportunities and follow-up in CRM
Work closely with branch, purchasing and sales teams to solve customer needs
Identify bid and tender opportunities

This is an active, relationship-focused sales environment with regular customer contact throughout the day, including account follow-up, inbound inquiries, proactive outreach and new business development.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of B2B inside sales, account management or industrial sales experience
Experience in industrial, construction, safety, equipment, tools, MRO, building products or technical distribution
Confidence making outbound calls, prospecting and developing new business
Experience preparing quotes and managing customer orders
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Ability and interest to learn a broad technical product offering
Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-through
CRM and Microsoft Office experience

Experience with safety, restoration, or related industrial products is an asset, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits $60,000–$68,000 base salary + uncapped commission
