As an Automation Engineer-in-training, you'll be joining the
Process Control and Operational Technologies department at our Vancouver
office. This multidisciplinary team will support your career growth, whether
you choose to specialize in a niche area or develop a broader, generalist
profile. You'll work with a motivated, dynamic group, ready to coach you on
projects and guide you throughout your professional journey.

  • Participate in detailed engineering and

design of automation and control systems for industrial projects

  • Program and configure control systems

(PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMIs) as part of the overall engineering solution

  • Prepare technical deliverables such as

P&IDs, I/O lists, control philosophies, specifications, calculations,
and study reports

  • Support project execution activities

including scope clarification, schedules, cost tracking, and coordination
meetings

  • Develop and maintain solid client

relationships

  • Perform site surveys and assist with

commissioning and testing to validate engineering designs, both onsite and
remotely

  • Assist with equipment commissioning, both

onsite and remotely

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor’s

degree in electrical, electronics, Mechatronic, or Instrumentation and
control engineering or any other equivalent training

  • 0 to

4 years of experience in automation and instrumentation; participation in
detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors

  • Available

for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites

  • Valid

driver’s licence

  • Asset:

Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written

  • Ability to draft

technical documents in both languages
