Role overview

We are hiring for a Full-Time Bakery Supervisor position with a wage range of $19.00 - $24.00 at our location in Edmonton, AB. (Rabbit Hill location)

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead daily bakery operations:

Measure, mix, scale, and hand-mould various types of artisanal breads

Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)

Hand-mould bread, baguettes, boule, etc.

Bake and score traditional bread and bakery products

Assist Bakery Manager with inventory, labour scheduling, ordering, expense control, and other operational processes to company standards

Assist Bakery Manager with Team Member training and coaching to achieve operational standards

Ensure quality, service, cleanliness, and merchandising standards are adhered to by the Bakery Team

Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures

Handle customer service inquiries and resolve any complaints or concerns in the absence of the Bakery Manager

What you Bring:

Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a bakery or food preparation setting

Extensive knowledge of the principles of sourdough preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations

Experience with pre-ferments: levain, poolish, sponge

Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays

A passion for leading others while providing an exceptional customer experience

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.
