Role overview

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Welders//Spot Welders/Machine Operators for an upcoming assignment in Southern Ontario. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time

You will earn:

$35 per hour before overtime
$30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
Paid Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)
Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ability to operate machines in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with welding or spot welding.
Ability to read blueprints/drawings
Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines
Inspect parts to specifications
Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary
Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work environment

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in manufacturing environment
Welding or Spot Welding experience
Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry (an asset)
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
Basic computer skills
Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
