Job:CNC Operator
Position Summary:Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our machining team. The successful candidate will safely operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CNC lathes and milling machines.
  • Verify finished parts meet dimensional specifications.
  • Identify and report non-conforming parts.
  • Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Ensure machine centers, tooling, fixtures, and precision measuring equipment are maintained and in proper working condition.
  • Fit and assemble machined metal components and subassemblies using hand and power tools as required.
  • Accurately complete work package documentation to ensure product traceability.
  • Perform routine daily inspections, care, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd.'s Lean Manufacturing program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safe work practices.

Available Shifts:Monday to Thursday:

  • Four 10-hour shifts.
  • Day and Evening shifts available.

Weekend Shift:

  • Friday to Sunday.
  • Three 12-hour shifts.

Employment Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education in machining or a related trade is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
