We are seeking two additional Hoist/Shaft Supervisors to support 24/7 coverage, including night shift operations. This role is responsible for managing the safe and efficient operation of hoisting systems and overseeing shaft maintenance crews. The position involves supervising maintenance activities, coordinating with underground and mill operations, and ensuring compliance with Saskatchewan mining regulations.
Core Responsibilities

Safety Leadership:

  • Enforce all company policies and Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Mine Regulations.
  • Chair shaft safety meetings, conduct field tours, and complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).

Operations Management:

  • Supervise cage tenders and hoist personnel to ensure safe and efficient movement of personnel, materials, and ore to surface.

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to plan and execute predictive and preventative maintenance activities for hoists, shafts, and loading pockets to minimize production interruptions.

Documentation:

  • Maintain and approve maintenance records and required documentation in accordance with Saskatchewan Mine Regulations.

Requirements

Education:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Engineering degree or Red Seal Trade Certificate considered an asset.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial or mining experience.

Certification:

  • Must be willing and able to obtain the required Saskatchewan Underground Supervisory Certification.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and safety teams.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour rotational shifts, including night shift coverage.
