Salary:

Description:

Are you looking for a job opportunity that doesn't make you miss out on all of life's memorable moments or allows you to ease back into the workforce? Flexible hours and a part-time schedule allow you to fit work around day care or school schedule, squeeze in those extra cuddles, find time for yourself, or pursue that other passion of yours at the same time.

In this role, you'll help NLC's marketing and communications team excel by providing front-line client services and clerical and administrative support. You'll assist team members and collaborate on projects, liaise with external vendors and agencies, wrangle events, plan itineraries and make travel and accommodation arrangements, and manage financial responsibilities such as monitoring, reporting, and reconciling budgets.

Please note – The weekly schedule for this position is flexible and can be discussed with the hiring manager. This position is backfilling a current temporary vacancy until return of incumbent.

Qualifications:

Do you have strong attention to detail while maintaining a high level of accuracy? Perfect. You will need this skill in your new role with us as a member of this lively and dynamic team. You'll also need to be able to demonstrate clear and effective communication, actively listen, and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships. These are critical attributes of this position.

We'd prefer if you had a diploma in a related discipline and two years' experience; however, we may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience. You'll get extra credit if you have worked in an agency or creative environment before. Likewise, if you have planned and run events for small and large groups alike with the responsibility to balance the budget.

You must have an intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and may be required to successfully complete a clerical test to validate this.

To support employment equity and diversity in the workplace, we encourage all qualified applicants, including Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, women, persons of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity or expression (LGBTQ2S+), and others who may contribute to diversity at Northern Lights College.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we are committed to increasing Indigenous Peoples' representation throughout the institution and encourage applicants to self-identify as Indigenous--First Nation, Metis, or Inuit within cover letters and/or resume.
