The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) mechanical new construction and retro projects. Responsibilities include performing quantity takeoffs for tendered, design-build, negotiated, and budget pricing opportunities; reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents; preparing RFIs; obtaining pricing from suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and vendors; preparing project budgets; and other related duties as required.

MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• At least seven (7) years mechanical estimating experience of ICI mechanical projects (i.e. electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical)
• Experience working on new construction and retro commercial, industrial, low/mid rise mechanical projects
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs, prepare cost estimates, and develop detailed proposals using estimating software and tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Strong understanding of labour productivity, fabrication, installation methods, procurement, and project sequencing
• Proficient computer skills and experienced usig a variety of computer and estimating programs (i.e. MS Office, Trimble Autobid, Bluebeam Revu, FastEST, QuoteSoft AutoCAD, etc.)

SHIFT: Days, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday).

COMPENSATION & COMPANY PERKS:

• $110,000 - $160,000.00/year
