Role overview
Three Junior Business Analyst contingent resources are required to support the Agency’s EHR Onboarding workstream and related digital health service access activities. These resources will support onboarding using the Agency’s existing methodology, including validation of Health Information Custodian (HIC) and legal status through the Client Information Form, categorization and mapping of clinician end users to approved HIC types, and validation of the legally responsible person prior to migration to the Provincial Clinical Viewer and other digital health services.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting end-to-end onboarding and intake activities for EHR and related digital health services
- Reviewing and validating submitted information and documentation
- Categorizing and mapping clinician end users to approved HIC types
- Validating legally responsible person information for pre-approval
- Maintaining accurate tracking of requests, issues, and status
- Supporting stakeholder communications and follow-up
- Identifying process gaps or risks and escalating as required
- Contributing to process documentation and continuous improvement activities
Must haves:
- Experience supporting business analysis, onboarding, intake, validation, or process coordination activities
- Understanding of PHIPA principles, including consent, collection, use, disclosure, and safeguards of personal health information
- Knowledge of health information custodians, agents, and Ontario health care sector onboarding requirements

- Effective written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with standard business tools such as Microsoft Office

Requirements
Evaluation Criteria:
- Understanding of PHIPA principles: consent, collection, use, disclosure, and safeguards of PHI. 10%
- General understanding of the roles of health information custodians and agents under PHIPA. 40%
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting requirements gathering, developing documentation, including presentations and briefing notes, and conducting stakeholder engagement. 25%
- Experience with stakeholder engagement, with excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills. 25%
Deliverables include:
- Categorize and map clinician end users to the Agency’s pre-approved HIC types and validate the legally responsible person for pre-approval prior to migration to digital health services.
- Complete requirements gathering, mapping, analysis, documentation, stakeholder engagement support, and reporting related to onboarding and access validation activities.
