Job Description:Reporting to the Program Manager, the Unit Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations and patient flow of the Unit. They will facilitate the use of critical thinking skills by the RN and LPN staff as they are fostered to work to their full scope of practice.

Experience

Minimum 3 to 5 years experience working acute and long term care.
Minimum 1 year supervisory experience

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

Nursing diploma is acceptable
Current CPR certification
Current CNA certification in Gerontology

Competencies

Communication skills
Intermediate - Computer skills

Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge in nursing process
Knowledge in change management
