About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong, solutions-oriented Professional Engineer with strong work ethics and a passion for to delivering sustainable infrastructure, eJective project delivery, and responsive municipal services. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering (Transportation + Drainage), the Manager, Engineering (Transportation + Drainage) is responsible for the planning and delivery of road, active transportation, and drainage infrastructure projects and related services. The role provides for the short-, medium-, and long-term planning, design, renewal, and delivery of the Municipality's road, active transportation, and drainage/flood protection infrastructure, while supporting both the Infrastructure Design and Construction section and the Operations department in the operation and maintenance of all transportation and drainage-related assets.
The Manager reviews and interprets asset condition and capacity data, operational performance, modelling, technical analysis, and field-based insights to inform renewal and rehabilitation strategies, asset replacement and upgrade plans, and design of capital projects. The role reviews land development application referrals and responds to a variety of technical inquiries and service requests from internal and external groups.
The position manages assigned staJ, fostering eJective, accountable, and high-quality service delivery while ensuring decisions are based on sound engineering analysis, consistency, equity, and the Municipality's strategic priorities.
