INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/INFORMATION SYSTEMS SUPPORT (CONTRACT) (48-26)
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Job Status: Contract until September 2027
Base office: Muskoka District (Bracebridge, Gravenhurst) or Parry Sound District (Parry Sound, Sundridge)

Purpose of the Position: The Information Technology/Information Systems role supports the Agency’s information management systems and information technology infrastructure. Assists in the development, support and implementation of data collection processes, including data analytics and reporting as required. Incumbent will support in the day-to-day operations of technology and communication systems, as well as assist in project work associated with information technology improvements within Agency.
Education and Qualifications:
- Training or education in health informatics, Health Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or Networking is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Training in database system administration, management and querying is strongly preferred.
- Experience and/or knowledge of health information reporting standards (e.g., OHRS, MIS, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with using business intelligence (BI) tools is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of PC hardware and operating systems required.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365 Services, Excel, Cloud Services, Adobe, and MS-SQL Server.
- Experience multi-tasking and coping with competing demands.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and data management software
- A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound
- A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license, a safe and reliable means of transportation, and appropriate insurance for work purposes on your vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage.
- Bilingual in French/English language considered an asset
- Indigenous Cultural Awareness and Education is a requirement
- Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.
Salary scale: $27.56 to $31.47 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Benefits include: Optional enrolment in aRegistered Retirement plan with HOOPP where contributions start on date of hire.
