Position Information:
Durham College is seeking an experienced
and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student
success. To teach in the Honours Bachelor of Behavoural Sciences, the Faculty
of Social and Community Services requires part-time professors with a Master's degree or Doctorate with experience in Psychometrics,
Quantitative Psychology, Educational Measurement, Psychological Assessment,
Statistics, Research Methods, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or a closely
related field with demonstrated knowledge of psychometric theory and
quantitative research methodologies.
The following courses are available for
delivery:
STAT 36001 – Psychometrics
RSCH 26001 – Quantitative Research Methods
Part-time faculty teach up to 6 hours per week with varied schedules
Monday through Thursday between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm and Fridays between 8:00 am
and 6:00 pm. Part-time recruitment is ongoing and is dependent on when courses
are being taught and the need for faculty to teach. Course assignments are
based on scheduling and instructional needs.
Academic starting wages are determined based on qualifications and
years of related experience. Upon hire, the incumbent will receive a pay
calculation to determine their ‘step’ placement within the pay range. Part-time
professors will be paid on the applicable wage grid, which currently ranges
from $80.62 through $139.88 per teaching contact hour.
