POSITION PROFILE

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist provides administrative support for the delivery of Human Resources activities related to recruitment, selection, hiring, and onboarding. The candidate will work collaboratively with all departments to recruit and screen candidates, including preparation of job postings, screening candidates, completing reference checks, and employee onboarding. The ideal candidate loves to hustle and is driven by landing the perfect candidate for the role.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will utilize your extraordinary interpersonal skills and passion for being a go-to ambassador for Access Healthcare Services. This is a full-time temporary 12 month contract.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertakes and manages the recruitment process, including but not limited to;

Manage full-cycle recruiting by collaborating with the leadership team to determine staffing needs.
Review and screen applicant resumes in accordance with the hiring manager's needs.
Conduct preliminary phone interviews to assess talent fit.
Coordinate phone, virtual, and in-person interviews between top candidates and hiring teams
Make recommendations on hiring decisions.
Draft, deliver and review employment offers with successful candidates.
Create and develop sourcing strategies using traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates.
Conduct interviews with prospective candidates.
Conduct reference checks for qualified applicants.
Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback.
Conduct pre-employment screening and ensure all relevant documentation is obtained prior to employment.
Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Manage current candidate activity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Collage.
Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
Coordinates onboarding set up for new hires and conducts day one orientation.
Coordinates new hire orientation sessions for all programs and leads day one orientation sessions.
Attends job/career fairs.

REQUIRED SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Minimum 1 year experience in recruitment or talent acquisition

Diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field highly desirable

CHRP highly desirable

Experience in healthcare recruitment, specifically community or home health preferred

Proficiency in MS Office Suite 365 (all programs) required

AlayaCare experience preferred
