What does success look like in this role?

As a Finance Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring the financial health and operational excellence of RAVL by owning day-to-day accounting operations and supporting accurate financial reporting. • Processing accounts payable, managing vendor relationships, and reconciling AP subledgers.
  • Managing accounts receivable, customer invoicing, payment application, collections, and AR aging.
  • Performing bank reconciliations, monitoring cash positions, and identifying discrepancies or variances.
  • Supporting HST/GST filings, payroll reconciliations, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assisting with year-end audit preparation and collaborating with external auditors.
  • Helping design, document, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Maintaining and improving the chart of accounts to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Contributing ideas that improve efficiency, automation, and financial processes as RAVL continues to scale.

  • Experience using modern accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP/accounting platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote-first environment.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Nice to have skills:

  • CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA designation.
  • Experience supporting a startup, scale-up, or growing organization.
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting or SaaS billing models.
  • Familiarity with expense management platforms such as Expensify, Ramp, or Brex.
  • Experience helping implement or improve accounting systems and internal controls.

  • You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and build trust across the organization.
  • You enjoy solving problems with a practical, business-first mindset.
  • You value continuous learning and embrace opportunities to grow professionally.
